Riverwood Lodge - Alikats Mtn Holidays

Riverwood Lodge is a classic alpine ski lodge that has been newly refurbished in 2014 with the feel of a boutique hotel. It sleeps 10-16 people in 5 cosy ensuite bedrooms, 3 of which are family rooms with built-in Alpine style bunk beds, a perfect nook for children! There is a spacious open plan living room and dining room which is enclosed by large windows perfectly framing the beautiful view. You can also enjoy the stunning view from the balconies or outdoor hot-tub whilst enjoying a glass of champagne. A particularly exciting feature is the separate cinema room with huge comfy sofas and big flat screen tv so that guests can spread out and enjoy a film after a tough day on the slopes.

Excellent food and wine is at the heart of every AliKats Mountain Holiday and we were thrilled to win the Morzine Source award for Best Food in Morzine/Les Gets/Avoriaz last season!

Wherever possible the food is fresh, locally sourced, seasonal and cooked from scratch including all cakes, pastry, stocks, sources and ice creams. Kat spends all of her spare time planning and practicing the dishes so that all of the meals are original, exciting and delicious.

Tartiflette tatin with home made reblochon ice cream
Panfried duck breast with pomegranate glaze, on soft polenta & wilted spinach.
AliKats Mont Blanc pudding of hazelnut meringues filled with chestnut cream & cassis jam and topped with a dark chocolate sauce.
Vacherin Mont D'Or cheese with biscuits and dried fruit

We are also very experienced in catering to all dietary requirements and will do our very best to ensure that a restricted diet does not result in a restricted menu!

We see it as a wonderful challenge to come up with fantastic vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, nut free dishes that are just as delicious and exciting as the standard menu.

Wine

We offer unlimited bottles of our carefully chosen house wines - not just with the evening meal which makes our holidays fantastic value for money!

In addition to the house wines, we also match different red and white wines the food each evening to give you a varied and enhanced dining experience.

For those who are particularly interested in wine, we also have a limited selection of more exclusive wines that you can purchase if you want something for a special occasion.

10 reasons why the AliKats chalet location is ideal

We can get you to the heart of the Avoriaz ski area 10-15 mins quicker than if you were staying in a central Morzine chalet. This is the AliKats ski-time pledge - we aim to give you maximum time on on the mountain!
6 minutes to the Ardent telecabine, which itself takes 4 minutes up to the beautiful Lindarets bowl. So, you can be skiing 10 mins after leaving the chalet!
From Lindarets, you can take access Avoriaz, Chatel and Mosettes ski areas in just 1 lift ride
No downloading required! You can ski right down to the carpark where the AliKats team will meet you and whisk you back to a glass of wine in the hot-tub in just 6 minutes.
Non-skiiers can take the 4 minute Ardent telecabine up to meet their group for lunch in Lindarets easily, so that everyone can enjoy the mountain together.
You can be skiing in Switzerland with only 2 chairlifts from the Lindarets bowl!
Beginner skiiers can get to the lessons in Lindarets with no tricky chairlifts or pistes to navigate so they can keep their confidence intact.
It is only a 5 minute drive to Morzine or 3 minutes to Montriond. It's quick and easy to visit town to go shopping, have dinner or visit the bars. We offer a lift into town every evening after dinner for those wishing to carry on the party outside of the chalet and can book you a taxi home as well.
The views! Whilst relaxing in the hot-tub or on the balconies, you can enjoy unobstructed views stretching down the valley with our favourite mountain (Mt Chery) in all its splendour.
Le Lavanchy is a pretty hamlet with no main road nearby so you feel like you are in a haven of natural beauty with none of the kerfuffle of town spoiling your holiday.
